Grândola walks

There are several routes in Grândola that include megalithic sites: two short routes and the Grande Rota do Balho.

Hiking Routes

The tourism website of Grândola describes each route and has PDF brochures/maps for each (all in Portuguese).

• Short routes (PR = “pequenha rota”)
  • PR6 – Lousal Geomegalítico
    • 12.4km, circular, medium difficulty
  • PR4 – Caminho das Cistas
    • 4.67km, circular, easy
• Long routes (GR = “grande rota”)
  • GR 63 – Grande Rota do “Balho”
    • 34.6km, easy
    • There are two stages to the route. I’ve included the 2nd stage: 17.7km from Canal Caveira to Lousal.
